The Foundation of Forgiveness and Assurance (Pt. 2)

II.  Jesus is our Law-Keeper.  (1 John 2c)

     "But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous." (emphasis added)

     On the incarnation of Christ see Matthew 1:23 and Luke 1:31-33.

     On the sinlessness of Christ see Hebrews 4:15; 7:26-27; 1 Peter 2:22; 1 John 3:5; 2 Corinthians 5:21.

III.  Jesus is our Lamb.  (1 John 2:2)

     A.  The lamb for all who are currently or have in the past been saved is Jesus Christ.  (1 John 2:2a)

     B.  The lamb for all who will ever be saved from whatever trible or nation of the earth is Jesus Christ.  (1 John 2:2b)
