Peter gives 6 results of true salvation in 1 Peter 1:13-2:10, and in so doing reveals that he is in agreement with John who indicates in 1 John that true conversion always results in a real sanctification.

Six results of salvation:  1. True holiness.  2. Respect for God.  3. Love of the brethren.  4. Spiritual knowledge.  5. Spiritual growth.  6. Spiritual position.

Salvation Results in True Holiness

"You will only have your mind prepared for godly activity when you fill it with Scripture."

     B.  We must be self-controlled.

     C.  We must fix our hpe on the return of Christ.

II.  Practice must be that of obedience.

III.  A prototpye of holiness is to be followed.

IV.  We must come to grips with the purview of personal holiness.  (1 Pet. 1:15b)

V.  We must pour over the publication which reveals holiness and the need for it.  ("because it is written")

VI.  We must know the person who is holy.
