The gospel that points men and women to salvation and eternal life in Christ is the Truth. In light of this fact, John exhorts his readers to:
I. Abide in the truth. (1 John 2:24a)
Next John reminds us that:
II. Abiding in the truth is abiding in the Father and the Son. (1 John 2:24b)
III. Abiding in God is eternal life. (1 John 2:25)
"What God promises, He performs."
