I. Running before Christ. (John 1:6-8)
The ministry of John the Baptist who was not the Christ but who came to bear witness to Christ.
II. Rejecting Christ. (John 1:9-11)
The world Jesus created did not know Him, and His own people did not receive Him.
III. Receiving Christ. (John 1:12-13)
All who come to faith in Christ will become children of God. This is possible, not by man's will or efforts, but only through the sovereign, gracious, regenerating work of the Father.
