A biblical primer on the fact that the lives of the preborn matter:
Genesis 1:26-31—Human beings were, unlike any other earthly creatures, made in God’s image.
Genesis 5:1-3—We are all conceived in the image of Adam.
Genesis 9:6—Though conceived in Adam’s image, the image of God, though marred, remains in man.
Genesis 17:15-16; 21:1-2; etc.—God is the giver of conception.
Exodus 21:22—God protects the life of the preborn.
Jeremiah 1:4-5—God has a purpose for life.
Luke 1:12-15—John the Baptist was filled with the Spirit from his mother’s womb. (See his reaction when Mary addressed Elizabeth in Luke 1:41.)
