I. The possibility of love. (1 John 4:7a)
John exhorts his readers to love in a supernatural way that is like that of God for us. Only believers can know and express this kind of love.
II. The source of love. (1 John 4:7b)
"Love is from God."
III. The assurance of love. (1 John 4:7c)
All who love with this kind of love give evidence that they are born of God and know Him.
IV. The lack of love and its indication. (1 John 4:8a)
All who do not love do not know God.
V. The Master who is love. (1 John 4:8b)
God is love!
