I.  Complementary testimonies can still be contrasted.  (1 John 5:9a; 2 Peter 1:16-21)

     A.  Confidence in the multiple testimonies of men.  (Deut. 19:15-21)

     B.  Concrete assurance comes through the testimony of God.

     C.  Commitment to the truth of the testimony is demanded.

II.  Complementary testimonies converge on the Son of God.  (1 John 5:9b)

III.  Commitment to the Son results in confirming internal testimony.  (1 John 5:10a)

IV.  Complementary testimonies rejected confirm one in a state of being condemned.  (1 John 5:10b)
