What God Has Joined Together

I.  Realities of what is lost warn you against marital treachery.  (Mal. 2:13-15)

     A.  Unbiblical divorce destroys the purity of worship.  (2:13)

     B.  Unbiblical divorce destroys the purity of marriage.  (2:14a)

     C.  Unbiblical divorce destroys the purity of your word.  (2:14)

     D.  Unbiblical divorce destroys the purity of your one flesh relationship.  (2:15a)

     E.  Unbiblical divorce destroys the purity of family.  (2:15b)

II.  Restrictions you should place on your spirit.  (Mal. 2:15c; 16c)

     A.  Guard your spirit.

     B.  Refuse to be faithless.

III.  Rejection reveals hatred and results in violence.  (Mal. 2:16a)

     A.  For a husband to divorce his wife under such circumstances indicates that he hates, rather than loves her.

     B.  For a husband to divorce his wife under such circumstances proves that he is willing to do violence to her.
