To all who believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God grants eternal life! To all who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, God's condemnation is a present reality.
I. The Christian gospel is exclusive because eternal life is God's gift, not man's work. (1 John 5:11a)
A. God's gift of eternal life is a single occurrence in your life.
B. God's gift of eternal life speaks of His sovereign work and makes salvation something for which He alone is to receive glory.

II. The Christian gospel is exclusive because eternal life is in Jesus Christ alone. (1 John 5:11b)
A. God's Son as only Savior is greatly attacked.
B. God's Son as only Savior is affirmed by God Himself.
