The Great Divide

I.  Those who are from God need to remember these things.

     A.  We were once part of the world.  (Gal. 4:3, 9; 6:14; Eph. 2:2, 12)

     B.  We are no longer part of the world.

     C.  We should no longer be adversely influenced by the world's way of thinking.

     D.  We should no longer participate in the things of this world.

     E.  We should always remember the price that was paid to grant our freedom from the world, and that allows us to belong to God.  (1 Cor. 6:19-20; 1 John 2:2)

     F.  We must remember that with Jesus as our Victor, the evil one does not touch us.

     G.  We need not doubt that we are "from God."

II.  Those who are not in Christ need to realize these things.

     A.  The minds of unbelievers are debased.  (Rom. 1:28)

     B.  The actions of unbelievers are debased.  (Rom. 1:24-32)

     C.  The response of unbelievers to believers will be hatred.  (John 15:18-19)

     D.  The "freedom" of unbelievers is not freedom at all, for they are under the controlling influence of Satan.  (1 John 5:19b)
